Singapore Botanic Gardens: Free Entry, Hours & What to Know

The Singapore Botanic Gardens is one of the easiest large green spaces to visit without spending anything. NParks states that the Gardens is free entry for everyone, every day.
Opening hours
The main Gardens is open from 5am to midnight daily. Individual facilities inside the grounds have their own hours and maintenance days.
The National Orchid Garden is the main paid exception
Admission charges apply to the National Orchid Garden, which currently opens from 8.30am to 7pm with last ticket sale and entry at 6pm.
Which MRT station should you use?
The Bukit Timah entrance is served by Botanic Gardens MRT station on the Circle and Downtown lines. Napier MRT station is useful for the Tanglin side. Your best entrance depends on which part of the grounds you want to see.
How long to allow
For a simple walk, allow 60 to 90 minutes. If you want to explore multiple gardens, galleries and heritage areas, the grounds can easily fill half a day.
