Singapore Gallery Month runs until 13 September, which means the entire final week overlaps with the school holidays. 2) Start the Mid-Autumn season at Gardens by the Bay

Flower Dome's Mid-Autumn activities are already running from 5 to 27 September, while the main outdoor Mid-Autumn Festival begins on 12 September. The outdoor festival is free to enter, making the final school-holiday weekend especially useful for families who want a seasonal evening without paying for a full attraction package.

3) Catch the opening weekend's LED Lion Dance

Gardens by the Bay lists an LED Lion Dance at Supertree Grove Lawn at 8.30pm on Saturday, 12 September. If you are already planning to see the lantern displays, this is the easiest school-holiday date to build around.

4) Use Sentosa's Magical Island Adventure before it ends

7) Check the Singapore Oceanarium's first-anniversary activities

8) Give Snow City one final visit
