Panda Planet Singapore 2026: Kai Kai & Jia Jia Birthday Activities at River Wonders

River Wonders is running a concentrated panda-themed programme this month, and the timing is unusually good for families. From 4 to 14 September 2026, Mandai is hosting Panda Planet Immersive Experience alongside the public birthday celebrations for Singapore's resident giant pandas Jia Jia and Kai Kai.

What Panda Planet actually is

According to Mandai, the exhibition is presented by iPanda and includes interactive activities, photo spots and conservation storytelling. A Mandai media release says the experience includes themed zones and a mixed-reality bamboo-forest component designed to explain how giant pandas live and why conservation still matters.

The dates and timings that matter

Panda Planet Immersive Experience runs daily from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm, from 4 to 14 September 2026. The venue is outside Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest at River Wonders, and the programme is included with standard River Wonders admission rather than sold as a separate add-on ticket.

Birthday celebrations for Jia Jia and Kai Kai

Mandai's Panda-tastic September line-up also includes two public birthday sessions. Jia Jia's celebration is scheduled for 5 September at 12pm, while Kai Kai's public birthday celebration is scheduled for 13 September at 12pm. Visitors can expect special enrichments and ice-cake moments prepared by the keepers.

Important planning note before you go

The official River Wonders page currently states that House of Kai Kai & Jia Jia is closed for renovation from 1 September to 30 November 2026. That does not cancel Panda Planet, but it does mean you should read the latest park notice and follow on-site directions instead of assuming the usual viewing flow.

Why this is worth prioritising this week

Most Singapore animal attractions are evergreen, but this one is genuinely time-sensitive. The Panda Planet run ends on 14 September and Kai Kai's birthday moment is public only on 13 September, so the family appeal is unusually strong if you want something current rather than generic.
