Gardens by the Bay's Mid-Autumn Festival 2026: Dates, Lanterns & What Is Free
The 2026 festival runs from 12 to 27 September with free evening lantern displays, a marketplace, performances and selected paid craft activities.

Gardens by the Bay's Mid-Autumn Festival returns from Saturday, 12 September to Sunday, 27 September 2026. The main outdoor programme runs from 6pm to 10pm, and admission to the festival itself is free.
Where the lantern displays are
The official programme places lantern installations across Golden Garden, Supertree Grove, The Planet, Dragonfly Lake and the Colonnade. The display list includes Moonlit Garden, Waterfall Fantasy, The Dream Forest and the Colonnade of Lights, which features 1,000 hand-painted lanterns.
What else is happening
A marketplace at Supertree Grove runs throughout the festival with food, carnival games and family rides. Charges apply there. The opening night on 12 September also includes an LED Lion Dance at 8.30pm, while a Dragon Dance is scheduled for 27 September at 7.30pm.
Craft activities are a mix of free and paid
Selected Craft Corner dates offer self-guided activities at the Colonnade. Paid activities listed by Gardens by the Bay include rabbit-lantern making and other craft projects, while a DIY lantern painting activity on 25 September is listed as free while stocks last.
Planning tip
The Outdoor Gardens are generally open from 5am to 2am, so there is no need to arrive exactly at 6pm. If you want to combine the festival with Garden Rhapsody, the regular Supertree light-and-sound show is scheduled daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm; event programming can affect operations, so check the official page on the day you visit.
